Volunteer with the Moore County Historical Association and help bring history alive!
Come and be a part of living history! Our doors are always open to friends interested in donating their time and energy to our mission. We offer a range of volunteer opportunities accompanied by ‘hands-on’ training to make your experience enjoyable and satisfying. The Association offers many ways to get involved with our programs, exhibits and special events.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Serving as a docent (tour guide) in our house-museums
- Scanning historical materials
- Planning and installing future exhibitions
- Assisting in mailings and other clerical duties
- Working on fundraising committees
- Searching for and/or writing grants
- Visiting older residents and recording oral histories
- Baking cookies for special fundraising events
